For more than 40 years I have studied extensively and been mentored by some of the world's foremost leaders in the yoga world.
Among the first wave of teacher-trainers in the U.S., I have taught thousands of students and provided training to hundreds of teachers. My background includes decades of serious practice of meditation, philosophical study, traditional Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Iyengar yoga. My teaching embodies a strong understanding of all aspects of yoga and has evolved into a decidedly inward journey over the last several decades.

Candy Ruitenberg
I've been doing yoga for at least 20 years. In 2009 a teacher training with Synthesis yoga piqued my interest. I was offered to teach a class at Synthesis yoga and then a second. Gentle and stretching yoga is what speaks to me most. I've trained in Yin yoga and love that as well.
I have been a nurse for 40 years. My background in anatomy and physiology has helped me understand to cure the poses.
When my children were in high school, they would say " Mom, you seemed stressed. You need a yoga class. I always felt better after every class."
